Cart Q & A

Bag Supports & Straps

My Bag Straps are frayed or broken, can I replace them?
My golf bag rubs on the front wheel, how can I fix that?
We offer replacement straps in the parts section of our website.
When this happens, most likely the nut that sits on the bolt of the Main Hinge Lever has come loose which creates some sag in the center of the cart. To fix the problem, simply tighten the nut and the sag will go away. Be careful not to over tighten the nut because that will make opening/closing the Main Hinge Lever more difficult. You may also want to watch our Bag Rest Video for further clarification. In some rare instances, you may have a bag that does not fit properly on the Clicgear Cart due to the shape of the bottom of the bag. If this is the case, you need to either use a different bag or put something between the bag rest and the bottom of the bag.

I like the Beverage Holder on the Model 3.0. Can I get one for my 1.0 or 2.0 cart?
The Model 3.0 cart has accessory mounts on the handle. How do I get those?
We offer replacement foam on our website in the parts section. Replacement instructions are included.
Check to see if the magnets are still attached to the console lid. If they are attached, check to see if the lid is bent. If the magnets are missing or have lost their polarity, we can replace them.
We offer a replacement cord on our website in the parts section.
No it is not. Due to the way the consoles are mounted to the handlebar of the carts, the consoles for each model are not interchangeable. Also, the brake lever has been moved on the 3.0 cart, which makes the 3.0 console different than the 1.0 and 2.0 consoles.
No it is not because it attaches to the console and the consoles are not interchangeable.
Yes you can. The 3.0 Cup Holder is available as an after market accessory for the 1.0 and 2.0 carts. In fact, it will fit any pushcart that has 1" diameter tubing on the handlebar.
Every accessory that we sell that is designed to hang from the handle comes with an accessory mount. (i.e. Cooler Tube, Rangefinder Bag, Sand Bottle, Cup Holder).

Wheels & Tires

I have a Model 1.0 cart. Can I get the solid tires that are on the 2.0 or 3.0 cart to replace my air filled tires?
I have seen white wheels on the white Model 3.0 cart. Are white wheels available on any other color cart?
What type of bearings does Clicgear use?
Why does Clicgear use plastic wheels instead of aluminum spoke wheels?
You can order a solid wheel kit to replace your air filled tires on our website in the parts section.
They are not available as a stock wheel on any other color of cart, but we do offer a white wheel kit on our website in the parts section.
Each wheel has two double sealed ball bearings. This is unique to most pushcarts in that they are press fit into the rim. This prevents damaged bearings due to poor initial alignment and eliminates the tendency of the wheels to start to wobble over time.
The Clicgear wheels are made from fiber reinforced plastic, which is the best most lightweight material available. They are designed with the opposed 3 x 3 spoke design that makes them mould balanced. What this means is that they are much stronger and run true right from the moment they come out of the mold.

Tubing

What material is the tubing made from?
What colors are available in the Clicgear Cart?
How do I order replacement tubing if something does break?
All tubing on the Clicgear Cart is made from aircraft aluminum. This means the cart offers the most lightweight and durable aluminum available.
Clicgear offers "stock" colors, and "limited edition" colors. The stock colors are typically available year around, while the limited edition colors are inventoried on a much more limited basis. See currently available cart colors on our site or feel free to contact us about about limited edition colors and their availability. Colors are applied to the tubing using an electronic process called Powder Coating. This means that your cart will resist scuffing and scratching for years to come.
Replacement tubing is available on the parts section of our website.

Brakes

My brake no longer works when I pull the brake lever. What do I do?
Do I need to lubricate or oil my brake cable?
Please check for the following problems:
  • Cable Nut Assembly has come loose from the Brake Hammer
If this happens, all you have to do is re-insert the cable nut assembly back into the brake hammer and your brake will function as it should.
  • Brake Cable has broken
If the cable is broken or frayed, it can be replaced. See the parts section of our website for complete list of replacement parts.
  • Brake Cable tension needs to be adjusted
To do this, you will need to loosen the cable nut assembly and slide it up/down the brake cable depending on whether or not you want to increase or decrease the tension. If this does not help, you may need to replace the brake cable.
  • Brake Gear teeth are broken
If your brake gear is broken, it can be replaced very easily. See the parts section of our website for complete list of replacement parts.
  • Brake Hammer is broken
If your brake hammer is broken, it can be replaced very easily. See the parts section of our website for complete list of replacement parts.
No you do not. It is already lubricated at the factory prior to being installed.

Miscellaneous

What is the weight of the Clicgear Cart?
How should I clean my Clicgear Cart?
How do I adjust the alignment on my cart?
Does Clicgear sell their replacement parts at their retail outlets?
My bag support looks like it is bent, is that possible?
What is the difference between the 2.0 & 3.0 carts?
My accessory packaging says "Will fit on 1.0 and 2.0 Carts" will it also work on Model 3.0?
What is the recommended weight capacity of the Clicgear Push Cart?
What general maintenance tips does ClicgearUSA offer?
The cart weighs about 18 lbs. There are other carts available that are lighter in weight, but pay particular close attention to the size of the tubing used in these carts. Clicgear uses over-sized aircraft grade aluminum tubing. Because it is over-sized, it weighs slightly more. We feel this is an advantage because it means you are getting a lightweight cart that will last longer and be more stable and durable. Don't be fooled by carts that are too light.
We recommend that you use a damp cloth instead of a hose or pressure washer. It is possible to fill the frame tubing with water or to damage the wheel bearings with too much water.
Please watch our Alignment Video for instructions on how to adjust your cart's alignment.
Most retail outlets do not stock our replacement parts. They can order them for you, but we recommend you order them direct from our website.
The bag support is a unique shape and looks off-center. It is designed this way to accommodate many different sizes and styles of golf bags as well as to allow the cart to fold the way it does.
One of the primary differences between the 2.0 and 3.0 has to do with the storage capacity. The console on the 3.0 has nearly twice the capacity of the 2.0 cart console. Additionally, the 3.0 Model has a mesh cargo net to store items for quick access. The beverage holder on the 3.0 attaches to the outside of the cart frame, allowing storage of a larger drink bottle, and swivels to help prevent spilling. The opening/closing sequence is made easier on the 3.0 Model through the use of ergonomic levers and an easy to push wheel lock button. The brake on the 3.0 has been changed to a simple on/off lever located directly below the umbrella mount. Both cart models fold and unfold in the same way and both models come outfitted with an umbrella holder and cup holder. Both models weigh about 18 pounds.
Yes, Clicgear Accessories work with all Clicgear Carts.
The maximum weight recommendation is 35 lbs.
A periodic tightening of the nuts and bolts of your Clicgear Cart will improve the performance and life of your Clicgear Cart. Replace the elastic Bag Straps and Scorecard Holder as needed. All parts are available through Clicgear Customer Service.
